Long Days Dreaming, by Jeffrey M. Baker

Long days dreaming
Days of wondrous wishes
Wishing for great gains
Gains of private pleasure
Pleasing and outspokenly open
Now, the caustic crime
Soon the haunted hanging
Everything, doomed dust
Dirty and soon salvaged
Renewed by living love
Love come real, renewed
Hope, despair; all around
And we are brought back
Long days dreaming.

  1. Do you mean that consciousness is "doomed dust" and unconsciousness is "wondrous wishes"? Or am I reading too much into this?
